Our Story

Where It All Began

40 years ago, in 1979, Sunshine Building Maintenance, Inc. was founded right here in the Denver area, and has remained a Colorado-based, family-owned company ever since. Our philosophies of Excellence in Janitorial Services and Attention to Detail have enabled us to grow from a small company to one whom employs hundreds of individuals and has been trusted with the responsibility of servicing millions of square feet of facilities, for hundreds of customers.

As a service company, our employees are undoubtedly our most valuable asset. Each employee is vetted properly to ensure the security of your facility. We know there is no One Size Fits All approach to properly training an employee in our industry, thus each employee receieves training specific to the environment they will be working. All employees are properly insured and managed on our end, so you don’t have to. We go to great measures to establish and maintain our labor pool, and these efforts give security in fulfilling our clients’ staffing needs.

The Environment

We apply concepts developed by the US Green Building Council. Their Green Building Rating System, or LEED Certification is the standard for environmental health. We have teamed up with Diversey to develop a unique program called Healthy High Performance Cleaning. These methods help many buildings attain multiple levels of LEED Certification.

We use Green Seal Certified chemicals in effort to decrease impact to the environment and individuals whom come in contact with our chemicals. Focusing on recyclable products and environmentally safe equipment is a company directive.
